Litterature and Cars, and country music

Well the blog challenge was to blog about things that we are intersted in, passionate about, and can educate you in. I love Litterature and I alsways have. I am on a time crunch right now to finnish this blog before I go camping because I was reading. For all of the reading I do I sure can't even begin to spell, which is ironic beacuse I tutor my mom's best friend's son in spelling, but my vocabulary is bigger than it would be if i didn't read so that is a plus, biut that is not why I read. When I read I try to connect with the characters and with the piece of their soul that the author puts forth in every word that they write. I have attempted to write myself and it is hard to hammer stuff out. I admire thouse who can do it, and especially those who can do it well. I read a wide margin from Ginsberg and Cumming to Austen and Rowling. next on my list is cars. my Uncle Pal has always messed with cars as far and fixing them up and popping dents and stuff and now my mom's boyfriend is the service manager for mercedes benz so I guess their is definatly alot of the vroom vroom vibe going on around me. i love to drive, especiall classics from the 70's. last wednessday I test drove a 1979 Chevy Monza. The car was absoulutly faboulous, however the previous owner was not faboulous to it. Lastly is country music. I listen to it whenever I need background, or something to dance to. The artists generally stay the same, so there is always a familer voice drawling on about some lost lover.

3rd 2 week reflection

We are reading Romeo and Juliet in English right now and I am ecstatic. i love this play, because it fits whatever mood I am in. The working out in the mornings is still going strong! Yay for new years resoulutions! Also one of best friends has just gone into remission from leukemia and so I am WAY excited and she is throwing a big party!

Arranged marriages

First of all I would like to say that I am a huge Shakespeare freak and that I am really happy that this was incoorporated into our blogs. I don't know what way is better, I mean I think that love is a coice and that some people invarriably are not right for each other, and on the other hand most people in the United States do this and less than half of our marriages make it. Incountries like India where they still do arranged marriages the couple has to learn to love each other beacuse divorce is not accepted, and I guess that it works for them. I guess it is the difference between romance and practicality.

2nd 2 week reflection

I have a new scrapbooking project going on with one of my best friends right now. Her name is Stacy and she is hilarious. I am having a great time doing that, because we are scrapbooking the pictures from our summer trip to Europe, see MY SUMMER post from forever ago. Anyway so far the resoulution is going pretty well.

Global warming

I think that recycling and taking care of the enviorment is a good thing and that this issue has been ignored for far to long, but I don't think that it as dier of a situation as everyone has crtacked it up to be. I think that alot of it is just a natural phase that the earth goes through sometimes, and that part of it is induced by humans and our obnoxious careless and selfish ways,but the silver lining is that people are finally starting to pull their heads out of their buts and do something about it.

First 2 week reflection

Well we are back at school and I am getting used to doing homework and stuff again. Not a lot is going on in my life right now, except I made New Years resoulutions to lose weight and I got a gym membership and I am waking up in the mornings to to go work out, so I am going to try to keep that up!

Technology

I use a ton of technology everyday. I wake up in the morning to my clock radio alarm clock and then I use the plumbing for my shower and then a hair dryer and curling iron, straightening iron, whatever i'm in the mood for, and then I user my toaster and take milk out of my refrigerator, then I get in my car. I go to school where I text on my cell phone, then I go home and talk on my home phone, use my computer and watch TV. Technology is a huge part of my everyday life. If I had to live without my computer or cell phone it would be a disaster of apoctalytic proportions, and thus I am putting those items in there with being as important an invention as fire.
